G.L. Huyett is in the midst of implementing ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software in both its manufacturing and distribution areas. This effort is being initiated in support of our mission to become ISO certified.

Continuous quality improvement is a cornerstone of our management orientation. To date, we have not made certification to international standards a priority because of cost and the lack of correlation between certification and performance. In other words, we find no differentiation or generalization in the business practices and results between our customers and suppliers who are certified, and those who are not.

We believe that certification should signify both a statement of sound practice and sound performance. To date, we have proven ourselves to be of sound performance, as evidenced by our compounded growth rate and customer satisfaction. Implementation and execution of our ERP system will refine our practice, such that certification becomes an appropriate investment.

We shall never consider ourselves a finished good, but rather a work in progress. Such philosophy shall guide us toward our goal of becoming a World Class enterprise. World Class performance is forever a moving, but escalating, target.
