Flat bar stock, or ground flat stock, is rectangular or square annealed steel bar that has been ground to close tolerances. Offered in Blanchard and Mattison finishes, ground flat bar can be heat treated to harden after shaping. Ground flat stock is available in stainless steel, cold finished steel, and alloy steel to suite a variety of applications. It is commonly used as a tooling metal for dies, punches, and gauges.- Made from non-deforming, non-shrinking tool steel
