Manufacturing Inventory Control Agent

Responsibilities:
  • Management of raw material inventory
  • Directing and performing regular cycle counts and bin audits
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the nature and causes of inventory exceptions and assist in the development of countermeasures
  • Reviewing the materials management system and make appropriate recommendations for improvement
  • Receive, inspect, and put away large volumes of raw material using material handling equipment
  • Generation, analysis, and execution of daily reports

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate verbally with others.
  • Ability to write clear communications and instructions for others.
  • Ability to utilize basic office equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladders.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem resolution skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing or warehousing work experience.
  • Preferred previous experience working in a high performance team setting.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, team player.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment is a PLUS. (Crane, Forklift, etc)
  • Basic math skills.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs and manufacturing ERP systems
  • Lot / serial control experience required
  • Experience with LEAN practices / methodologies.
  • Current and active CDL a PLUS but not required.

Work Environment:

This is a manufacturing plant environment.

Exposure to high temperatures, moving machinery, moving equipment, heights and confined spaces.

Compensation:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.50 to $21.00/hour

Profit sharing paid tri-annually.

Materials Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Materials Supervisor for our Manufacturing Department. This proven leader will have experience motivating and engaging employees to produce world class results. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in successfully managing work teams in the fields of manufacturing and/or distribution.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain appropriate communication channels with other departments in order to expedite the manufacturer and shipment of product to customer as well as make most efficient use of company resources (e.g. controlling labor costs).
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of production design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards and tolerances.
  • Communicate daily metrics, goals, open projects and resource constraints to plant leadership team.
  • Improve product quality and reduce errors & omissions through continuous improvement principles, maximize productivity by identifying waste and implementing improvements using Lean Manufacturing concepts.
  • Ability to create, analyze and interpret performance reports.
  • Communicate internal information such as process or policy changes to production employees.
  • Facilitate employee training, cross-training and building depth within the department.

Qualifications:
  • Training in a Manufacturing, Engineering or Operations oriented discipline.
  • Four year undergraduate degree with emphasis in Operations Management; Engineering Degree with Industrial Engineering or Operations emphasis is preferred.
  • Certification or specific training in TQM, LEAN, JIT, SIX SIGMA, KAIZEN or other quality training programs preferred.
  • Outstanding leadership, coaching, and organizational development skills.
  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping, Total Quality Management and/or similar concepts.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, ERP software, ROP/ORQ, and other technology tools.
  • Proficiency in basic information technology tools. (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience writing and delivering performance reviews

Compensation:

Starting salary range of $31,000.00 – $52,000.00. Full benefits package. Profit sharing paid tri-annually. Additional details to be provided to qualified candidates.
