Dowel Bushings
Also commonly called Spring Alignment Dowels or Ground Hollow Dowels, dowel bushings are a locating device for components where centerline tolerancing and precision alignment are required. These hollow fasteners permit a fastening screw, bolt, or wire to pass through the inside diameter while eliminating the need to drill a separate hole. Dowel bushings feature beveled chamfers on both ends to ease installation, a staggered seam to prevent interlocking, a controlled inside diameter, and are self-retained through spring action that form fits to the hole for increased joint integrity.
