Springs

Select from a variety of compression, extension, and leg (torsion) springs to suit a variety of needs and applications. For optimum alignment and reduced solid height, compression springs feature closed end coils that are ground square and are typically designed to work in a bore or over a rod. Extension springs feature a close wound body with hook-styled loops on both ends designed to attach to other components. When the components move apart, the extension spring works to bring them together again. Potential applications include garage door assemblies, automobiles and farm machinery, hand tools, trampolines, and white goods. Leg springs – also known as torsion springs – are available as either Right Hand (wound counter-clockwise) and Left Hand (wound clockwise) springs; loads should always be placed so that the spring is “closing.”
