DIN Standard Eye Nuts
DIN Standard 582 shoulder pattern Eye Nuts (or "lifting eyes") are available in a both carbon and stainless steel. They are frequently used in lifting motors, switchgear cabinets and gears, and other heavy machinery or equipment that can not be lifted by hand or with the aid of a fork truck. While the shoulder pattern provides greater stability at the base of the eye to accommodate angular loads, be sure to consult specifications for Working Load Limits (WLL) prior to conducting lifts as Eye Nuts are recommended primarily for zero degree, in-line lifts. WLLs are reduced significantly for non-axial loads.
