C-Form Rings

C-Form rings, also called plain wire snap rings, are a wire formed retaining ring bent from round spring wire. Plain wire snap rings are radially applied to groove-less shaft applications with low thrust bearing loads. The frictional force applied by the ring prevents parts from sliding along the shaft. C-Form rings are most commonly used in vertical blinds to keep the rod inside the head rail from sliding.
