An eye bolt is a secure bolt or fastener with a threaded shank on one end and a round loop on the other. This eye-shaped loop is ideal for a variety of lifting hardware attachments and uses, and makes for easy attachment to chains, ropes, cables, and other tethers. Wire eye bolts can be either:

  • Bent wire eye bolts - made of a bent piece of carbon steel rod or wire, with the end of the eye slightly open. Should not be used for heavy lifting, ideal for quick uses or tie-downs.
  • Closed wire eye bolts - molded and cast as a single piece of metal for added strength.

Available in carbon steel with zinc clear or yellow finish. These wire eye bolts are perfect for lightweight uses, but should not be used for heavy lifting applications. See our lifting eye bolts for a heavy-duty solution.
