Chain Grab Hooks

Grab hooks, sometimes referred to as standard or non-cradle grab hooks, feature a narrow, straight-sided throat designed to hold a link of chain. The links on either side of the engaged link of chain in the throat prevent the chain from moving freely in the throat of the hook. Grab chain hooks are designed to receive a specific size of chain. For example, a 1/4-inch Grab Hook should be used only with a 1/4-inch chain since a full width of a chain link will fit tightly in the throat to prevent the chain from slipping through the hook. Clevis hooks are available for quick installation/removal, while an eye hook is available for permanent applications. Corrosion resistant zinc or zinc yellow plated Grade 70 alloy steel or Grade 43 carbon steel grab Hooks. Grab hooks are intended to shorten or hold a length of chain and are well suited for logging, oil & gas, pulling, towing, and transport.
