Nut eye bolts have a longer shank than standard machinery eye bolts, which is useful for securing a lifting eye in an untapped hole where the shank of the eye bolt can be fully inserted through an object, where it is held in place by the nut on the other side.

Nut eye bolts are often partially threaded, and like many other lifting eye bolts, are available in a plain pattern for vertical lifting, or a shoulder pattern which is better suited for axial loads. Available in 1045 carbon steel, 304 stainless steel, and 316 stainless steel, and hot dipped galvanized, polished, self-colored, or zinc finish for added corrosion resistance.
