Pressure Control Fittings
Pressure Control Fittings
Pressure control and pressure relief fittings are grease (or zerk) fittings that help to stabilize pressure in grease applications. When components start turning within a gearbox, transmission, or similar application, the friction produces heat, which causes the gases and liquid to expand. Pressure control fittings - which are available in three distinct varieties - release air from those interior spaces to prevent overflows or overheating.
- Breather fittings allow air to cycle in and out of the application while providing protection from contaminating debris
- Relief vent fittings feature a valve that opens after the interior pressure exceeds a given range and closes once the pressure returns to a safe level
- Vent fittings feature a seal that offers additional protection against contaminating debris
- Huyett offers a wide range of Alemite®, Lincoln®, and Heritage™ pressure control fittings
- Pressure control fittings are one of several lubrication accessories Huyett offers to accompany our grease fittings
