Shackles

Shackles

Lifting shackles are heavy-duty steel attachments used in towing, anchoring, and lifting applications. Lifting shackles are secured at the base by either a screw pin, or a two-piece bolt and pin solution similar to a clevis yoke.

There are two main types of lifting shackles:

  • Anchor or bow shackles - a circular, O-shaped attachment is better suited for axial loads
  • Chain shackles - also known as D shackles, these have a narrow D-shaped bow designed for 0 degree or in-line tension

Available in 1045 carbon steel or 304 stainless steel and self-colored, polished, or hot-dipped galvanized finishes.
