A power transmission shaft is a circular piece of metal used to transfer rotational power and torque from one machining part to another. Shafts are the core component of any power transmission system, and are often keyed to allow for easy torque transmission with the help of a machine key.Our machine shafts are keyed the entire length of the shaft for ease of use and precise key positioning. We carry a variety of lengths, diameters, and keyway sizes in both inch and metric, and shafts can be easily cut to length. Available in carbon and stainless steel, as well as plain or zinc finish. We also stock a variety of keyed shaft assortments ranging from 10 to 180 pieces.
