T-Nuts

T-Nuts

T-nuts, also known tee nuts, are a type of nut with an internally threaded barrel and protruding prongs from a flanged head that engage the mating component by displacing the host material. T-nuts create internal machine threads in the mating surface, prevent cracking caused by screws and bolts, are unlikely to strip, and are vibration resistant. T-nuts are often used in soft materials like wood, composite, or plastic; they are also great in applications that may be disassembled later, like climbing walls and cabinetry.
  • Resistant to loosening from vibration
  • Installs without cracking or stripping host material
  • Mounts flush to the surface of the mating component
