Rod Ends

Rod ends

Rod ends, also known as swing bolts or just rod ends, are forged from a single piece of carbon steel and can be used to create hinges or pivoting connections in construction, industrial, or design applications. Rod ends can also be used in turnbuckle assemblies or as tie downs for material handling or load securement. The single piece construction delivers greater durability and provides a more controlled swing in pivoting applications. However, since there are no moving parts like ball joint rod ends, they cannot be used to compensate for angular misalignment. Purchase in-stock rod end bolt or blanks that can be cut, drilled, tapped, threaded, or welded to make control arms, custom eye bolts, and other levers.
