Solid Rivets

Solid Rivets

Solid rivets are single-piece fasteners that connect components when both sides are accessible. The rivet, which is solid through and through, can be installed with a rivet squeezer or struck against a solid surface to expand the end of the rivet and lock it into place. For this reason, solid rivets are made from softer metals - like aluminum, brass, and certain carbon steels - that will deform under pressure.
  • Round solid rivets, also known as button head or solid round head rivets, feature and oval head and are available in aluminum, brass, and carbon steel
  • Flat head solid rivets, or buck rivets, have flat heads and are available in aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel
  • Solid rivets are strong, vibration resistant, require little maintenance, and offer a cost-effective solution for permanent fastening applications
